Martin: Some of this weeks interesting stories:
Apple Mapping – Apple have bought a digital mapping company. Why? Replacement for Google Maps on the iPhone home screen? Providing location aware apps on the tablet that are fully integrated into the OS? Maybe Steve just wants to know where the nearest shop selling black turtlenecks is.
Google Wave – The Wave Beta has gone live. Is this the future of communication or just a gimmicky attempt to usurp Twitter and Facebook as the next big thing in the mind of the media? Looks like it’ll be a useful tool to me but I am not desperate enough to try it to pay for an invite on ebay.
Electric car takeup 1/6 th by 2020 - The boss of a battery manufacturer reckons that 1/6 of cars will be electric by 2020. I am surprised it is that low. Surely they will be a significant surge in demand once they reach that tipping point where you can go electric with little compromise or cost over conventionally powered vehicles.
